The Vidaco biomass heating system

Bio-energy is a renewable source of energy produced from organic materials such as wood, plant material and animal waste, often referred to as biomass, and can be used to produce electricity and heat.

Creating energy from wood, a national sustainable fuel, is increasing in popularity as an eco-friendly alternative to heating with oil and gas. It is virtually carbon neutral; emitting only as much carbon as it absorbed when growing as well as being very affordable, easy to obtain and resistant to market fluctuations.

Vidaco biomass fuel technology is both efficient and convenient either as a complete heating system or to provide complimentary heating to an existing system.

Several options are available and include; log burning boilers, which can be highly cost effective, wood gasification boilers which can utilise various types of wood based fuels and becoming increasingly popular, pellet boilers.

Wood Burning Boilers

The Vidaco biomass heating system as shown above is fully automated converting wood pellets into heat through a simple combustion process.

  • Wood pellets - automatically fed into the boiler unit, heated and residual moisture removed
  • At 150°C thermal decomposition commences rising to around 500°C with unstable elements being removed
  • Pellets are then converted into virtually flame free charcoal to provide heat to the distribution system.

High performance systems that are intelligent, ultra convenient and highly cost efficient

This type of system is as straightforward to use as conventional gas or oil heating systems, incorporating a compact boiler unit with modulated power, digital controls and fully automatic operation to provide exceptional performance and maximum efficiency.
